There is a history behind The Submerging Influence. This was once (and still is) the community blog of Reclaiming the Mind Ministries and the first sister blog to Parchment and Pen. Circumstances changed and it was to be deleted, before it was resurrected (a bit like Jesus…) and run by myself. It is still a community blog and would welcome more contributors, whoever you are!

We post (almost) everyday, to stop you getting bored, and our discussion is biblical, Christ-centered, and irenic. Biblical because that’s the book that we’re trying to figure out. Christ-centered because Christ is who our faith is all about. And irenic (which means ‘peaceable’) because we don’t believe in theological head-butts; we want to reflect Jesus attitude of love and peace even when people disagree with us.

If you are a TTP student, RMM volunteer, close associate to RMM, TTP alumni, or just the average web-surfer you are encouraged to find a home here and welcomed to post a blog at any time. Here’s how to get started:
